Dr. Juan Carlos Jimenez MD, MBA is an academic vascular surgeon, educator, and healthcare leader at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He serves as Medical Director of the UCLA Gonda (Goldschmied) Venous Center and Ambulatory Procedure Units and holds the role of Vice Chair for Inclusive Excellence in the Department of Surgery. In addition, he serves as Assistant Dean at the David Geffen School of Medicine, where he works to advance faculty development, mentorship, and inclusive excellence across the institution. His leadership integrates clinical care, education, and organizational strategy to strengthen academic surgery and improve patient outcomes. He specializes in treating a wide array of vascular disorders and has extensive experience managing complex venous disease, including venous insufficiency, deep venous obstruction, and venous ulcers. He is nationally recognized for his expertise in both open and endovascular techniques and has played a key role in advancing minimally invasive therapies for venous disease. A dedicated educator, he is deeply involved in the training of medical students, residents, and fellows. He serves as Co-Chair of the Moore–SVS Board Review Course, one of the most widely recognized educational programs for trainees preparing for board certification. He is known for his engaging teaching style and commitment to mentorship, helping to prepare the next generation of vascular specialists. Through his work as a clinician, educator, and leader, Dr. Jimenez continues to advance the field of vascular surgery while promoting excellence in patient care, professional development, and academic medicine.
