Sowmya Mangipudi is a 4th year integrated vascular surgery resident at The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and a current NIH-Fogarty "GloCal" Fellow performing vascular surgery research in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. She earned a BSPH in Health Policy and Management in the UNC Gillings School of Public Health, and subsequently completed her MD at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where she was selected for AOA, and The Lazarus Family Scholarship to complete an MSc in Global Health and Surgery at King's College London. Her research interests include global vascular surgrery capacity building, diabetic foot ulcers and peripheral arterial disease, clinical outcomes and guidelines research with Kaiser Permanente Northern California.
