Lauren Broucek is a Family Nurse Practitioner who works in the vascular surgery outpatient clinic at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Valley State University in 2010. Upon graduation she worked as a Staff Nurse on the Cardiovascular Thoracic Stepdown Unit at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. In 2015 she graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Masters of Science in Nursing. At that time, she transitioned into the outpatient vascular surgery clinic as an Advanced Practice Nurse. She cares for patients in the outpatient setting with a variety of vascular issues. She has worked on the Vascular Quality Committee for the Northwestern Vascular System and helped create the enhanced recovery pathway for lower extremity arterial bypass surgery. She was named Illinois Nurses Foundation Nurse of the Year in 2024.
