Laura Shin, DPM, PhD, is a reconstructive surgeon and physician-scientist who specializes in podiatry, including foot and ankle deformities, Charcot neuroarthropathy, limb salvage, wound care and diabetic feet and ankles. She is a NIH funded researcher with a focus on stem cell regeneration and the body's capacity for healing. Her projects evaluate tissue and stem cell repair in older adults, immunocompromised patients with diabetes. She is also the Program Director of Education at the Limb Salvage Program at Keck Medicine of USC and Immediate Past Chair of the Foot Care Council of the American Diabetes Association.
