Francisco Lasanta-Gorbea, MD, is an incoming PGY-1 General Surgery resident at Centro Médico Episcopal San Lucas in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He was born and raised in Ponce and earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine.

He subsequently completed a surgery research fellowship, participating in clinical research and academic activities within the department. His interests include peripheral arterial disease and aortic pathology.

He plans to pursue a fellowship in vascular surgery following completion of his general surgery training.
