Cherrylene “Cherry” Montano, MHA, BSN, RN, CCRN, NE-BC, CENP is the Associate Vice President of Pediatrics at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital at OU Health in Oklahoma City. With over 15 years of pediatric nursing leadership experience, she oversees multiple pediatric service lines including the Pediatric Intensive Care and Cardiac Unit, Pediatric Emergency Department, Pediatrics, ECMO program, vascular services, and clinical education. Cherry is passionate about advancing pediatric patient safety, workforce development, and high-reliability healthcare systems. Her leadership focuses on improving clinical outcomes, strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration, and supporting innovation in pediatric care delivery. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nurse Executive Leadership at the University of Oklahoma and remains actively engaged in advancing nursing leadership and professional practice.
