David L. Dawson, MD is Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Texas A&M College of Medicine and on staff at Baylor Scott & White Health - Temple, where he specializes in vascular and endovascular surgery. Dr. Dawson is an internationally recognized expert in the use of non-invasive vascular diagnostic testing, peripheral artery disease management, vascular trauma care, and surgical education. He is a retired US Air Force colonel, with extensive experience in operational military issues and aerospace medicine.
Related to Dr. Dawson’s interest in the vascular laboratory, he serves on the boards of directors of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU), the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS), and the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) – Vascular Testing. He is Vice Chair of the Council of the Alliance for Physician Certification and Advancement (APCA); Co-Chair of the SVU/SVS PSO Vascular Ultrasound Registry committee; and has other leadership and service roles.
