Misty Humphries, MD, is a Professor of Surgery and Chief of Vascular Surgery at UC Davis Health, where she also directs the vascular surgery residency program. Her clinical practice centers on limb salvage and the management of complex peripheral arterial disease.
Her research examines outcomes in vascular surgery with particular attention to health equity, studying how race, geography, and access shape who receives care and what happens to them. She is an active contributor to the Vascular Quality Initiative and serves on the NorCal regional committee.
Nationally, she is the APDVS Secretary-Treasurer and leads the JVS Online Journal Club, where she oversees the monthly case-based education format for the vascular surgery community and trainees.
