Megan Wanzer DNP, AGACNP-BC, ACCNS-AG, CCRN-CMC-CSC is a full time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She serves as current Adjunct Faculty at the University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) in the DNP Project Courses, as well as at Notre Dame of Maryland University. Her undergraduate degrees are from Montgomery College with an ADN in 2012, RN-BSN from UMSON in 2013, and her graduate education includes Doctor of Nursing Practice in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist from UMSON in 2021. She also was a Cohen Scholar and completed her Certificate in Teaching in Nursing and Health Professions. Following her graduation, she completed the UMMC/STC Critical Care Nurse Practitioner Fellowship in 2022. She holds multiple certifications including critical care nursing (CCRN) with cardiac medicine (CMC) and cardiac surgery (CSC) sub-specialties. Her clinical background and interests primarily center on critical care within the medical, surgical, and cardiac surgery intensive care units, with additional emphasis in education, information technology, and quality improvement.
