Vascular Surgery at UNC Health Caldwell
Stony Brook
After recieving a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University at Albany I decided to pursue a career in academic medicine and attended Stony Brook University SOM. During medical school I would take a leave of absence to participate in a year of grant funded research at Columbia University Medical Center. I eventually decided to pursue Vascular Surgery due the technical complexity of procedures, medically challenging patients and the potential for an academic career in the setting of constantly evolving endovascular technologies. Starting June 2018, I will be training at St. Louis University SOM as part of their Integrated Vascular Surgery residency with hopes of practicing as an academic vascular surgeon.
