Dr. Rafael Cires-Drouet is a board certified physician in internal and vascular medicine who began practice in 2003 in Ecuador and has been practicing in the United States since 2011. He completed a vascular medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in 2011 and has been the principal investigator on numerous vascular research studies through the University of Maryland, Heart and Vascular Center. He currently works at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland as an Assistant Professor of Vascular Medicine, the Medical Director of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team, the Medical Director of the Wound Center and as the Co-Director of the Limb Preservation Team.
