Gabriel Castro, MD is a vascular surgery fellow at the West Virginia University. He received his undergraduate education at Brown University and earned his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his general surgery residency at the University of Puerto Rico General Surgery Residency Program. His academic interests include peripheral arterial disease, vascular quality improvement, smoking cessation initiatives, and outcomes research. At the Vascular Annual Meeting, he presents work examining smoking cessation interventions and quality improvement efforts within vascular surgery.
