Mimmie Kwong is an Associate Professor of Vascular Surgery at U.C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. A California native, she spent nearly a decade on the East Coast completing college at Harvard, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with Highest Honors with degrees in Neurobiology and Global Health, and medical school at Johns Hopkins. She returned to U.C. Davis where she completed an integrated residency in Vascular Surgery. After joining on as faculty, she earned a masters in Clinical and Translational Research. Her clinical interests are in peripheral arterial disease, venous disease, and open surgical exposures. Her research interests include translational work to induce rapid endothelialization of bioengineered materials as well as clinical studies on complex decisionmaking and palliative care in vascular patients.
