Dr. Wassim Mansour is an Associate Professor of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Sapienza University of Rome, where he works within the Department of General Surgery and Surgical Specialties at Policlinico Umberto I. With extensive experience in both clinical practice and academic research, Dr. Mansour has established himself as a leading specialist in advanced aortic and endovascular procedures.
He obtained his Medical Degree and specialization in Vascular Surgery with honors from Sapienza University of Rome, followed by a PhD in Cardio-Thoracic-Vascular Physiopathology and Imaging. Over the years, he has progressed through key academic roles, including Research Fellow and Assistant Professor, before being appointed Associate Professor.
Dr. Mansour has performed more than 2,200 surgical procedures, including a large number of complex aortic repairs such as EVAR, TEVAR, and fenestrated and branched endografts. His expertise also extends to carotid revascularization, peripheral arterial disease, and hybrid surgical techniques.
In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in research and has authored numerous publications in high-impact international journals. He regularly presents his work at major international conferences and contributes to multicenter studies and registries in vascular surgery.
Dr. Mansour is also dedicated to teaching, serving as a director of the residency program in vascular surgery, professor in fellowship and PhD programs at Sapienza University. He is a member of several professional societies, including the SVS and ESVS, and serves on editorial boards of international scientific journals.
