Ioannis “Yianni” Tsouknidas is a graduate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Medical School in Greece. In 2021, he moved to the United States and began his general surgery residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY, serving as a preliminary resident. In 2023, he relocated to Philadelphia, PA, to continue his surgical training at Lankenau Medical Center.
His training has provided broad and rigorous clinical experience, and he looks forward to the next phase of his professional development. In parallel with his clinical work, he has been actively involved in research, contributing to a highly productive academic team. In the summer of 2026, he will begin a vascular surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
