Gabriell, DNP, began her career at Baylor Scott & White Health in 1996 as a nurse’s aide. That same year, she completed her Associate Degree in Nursing at El Centro College. She advanced her education with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University in 2006, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2012, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Texas Wesleyan University in 2023.Since 2012, she has practiced as a vascular surgery nurse practitioner at Baylor Scott & White Health Heart Hospital, Plano, and as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, where she teaches in both the Accelerated Online Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs. She has been board-certified in Cardiac-Vascular Nursing since 2007 and received the Society for Vascular Nursing (SVN) Clinical Excellence in Vascular Nursing Award in 2018 and 2024. Dr. Grayson has led the development of vascular protocols for pulmonary embolism, aortic dissection, aortic aneurysm, pre-habilitation, and enhanced recovery after surgery. Nationally, Dr. Grayson served on the SVN Board of Directors (2023–2025), the Society for Vascular Surgery Vascular (SVS) Verification Program Task Force (2025–2028) and is the first non-physician selected for the SVS Fellowship in Training (FIT) Program (2025–2026). She is also a co-author of Vascular Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 3rd Edition. Her hobbies are attending concerts, awards shows, and spending time with family and friends.
