Ann E. Luciano, NP (she/her/hers)

Ann E. Luciano, MSN, ACNP, is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Vascular Surgery at Michigan Medicine, where she has served since 2008 as a key member of the multidisciplinary Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) program. Her work has focused on the care of patients with PAD, carotid disease, aneurysmal disease, thoracic outlet syndrome, and complex limb and wound-related conditions.
In her current role at Michigan Medicine, Ms. Luciano provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with PAD and other vascular conditions. She has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the PAD program at the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center, coordinating care across vascular surgery, interventional cardiology, vascular medicine, interventional radiology, podiatry, and wound care. She also serves as a clinical resource for staff caring for patients with vascular disease and leads quality outcomes initiatives for patients with PAD.
Ms. Luciano is also an experienced educator and presenter. She has delivered numerous lectures and educational sessions on cardiac and vascular topics, including, vascular diagnostic testing and imaging, carotid disease, angiogenesis, PAD management, vascular nursing, blue toe syndrome,and hypercoagulable states. Her presentations have been delivered through University of Michigan programs, nursing symposia, professional society meetings, APP education sessions, and national vascular conferences.
Across her career, Ms. Luciano has combined advanced clinical practice, research, education, and quality improvement to advance care for patients with vascular disease. Her work reflects a sustained commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based practice, and patient-centered care.
