Dr.Jian Zhang is professor and chief of the division of Vascular Surgery at the First Hospital, China Medical University, Shenyang, China. Dr.Zhang joined the First Hospital of CMU in 1992 after his Bachelor Medical Education. He completed his vascular training at the First Hospital of CMU. Dr Zhang earned a master’s degree in clinical sciences at the China Medical University. From 1999-2006, he went to University of Heidelberg, Germany, for his Doctoral and Post-doctoral study under the supervision of Prof. Jean R Allenberg.
Dr. Zhang is a member, Chairman or Vice-Chairman of numerous professional and scientific societies in China, an International member of the Society for Vascular Surgery. His clinical research interests focus on AAA pathobiology and risk of rupture and education research.
Dr.Zhang is interested in surgical education and wellness for surgeons. He enjoys swimming and fitness training.
