Dr. De Marco Garcia is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires School of Medicine and completed a Cardiac Surgery Clerkship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. She is Board Certified in General and Vascular Surgery and Wound Management, having done her General Surgery Residency and Vascular Surgery Fellowship at North Shore University Hospital – Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
She has practiced medicine on both coasts of the US, having delivered care for 16 years as a vascular surgeon and Wound Care Medical Director at Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital in Washington State. Eventually, moved back to NY as a member of the Eastern Region Northwell’s vascular surgery family in 2019. Soon after joining, she became the Chief of Vascular surgery at Plainview Hospital as well as the Medical Director for Plainview’s Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center as well as the Eastern Region Medical Director for Vascular Ultrasound. She is now part of Northwell’s central market as the Director of Vascular Surgery and Associate Chair of Surgery at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream.
She presented professionally upwards of 30 times both in the US and Buenos Aires on topics such as Deep Vein Thrombosis, Pelvic Venous Disease. Limb Salvage Interventions and Aortic disease. She has been published over 9 times as well as participated in the writing of book chapters. Particularlly interested in venous thrombosis, complex venous reconstructions, pelvic venous insufficiency, limb salvage, cost of medical care and AI in surgery.
