Dr. Rowe is a Professor of Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Wiley F. Barker Chief of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the UCLA Health Gonda Venous Center. Dr. Rowe is an acclaimed clinician, researcher, and educator. Prior to joining the UCLA faculty in 2022, he was Professor of Clinical Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC). He served as Director of Pediatric Vascular Surgical Services at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and Co-director of the USC Center for Limb Preservation at Keck Medical Center.
Dr. Rowe has received numerous teaching awards and has contributed to the surgical literature with over 200 peer reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, and textbook chapters. He is currently Associate Editor for Rutherford’s Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.
Dr. Rowe is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) and has served on multiple SVS committees, including chairing the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee from 2020 to 2023. He recently completed his six-year term on the American Board of Surgery’s Vascular Surgery Board where he chaired the Vascular Surgery In-Training Examination (VSITE) Committee from 2020 - 2023. He is the past President of the Western Vascular Society and the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery.
